Microsoft just published a fresh cumulative update for Windows 10 Fall Creators Update (version 1709).
While it's just a little surprising to figure out new cumulative updates landing so fast after this month's Patch Tuesday cycle, it's imperative you know that the intention of KB4464217 isn't to fix security vulnerabilities in Windows 10.
Instead, this new cumulative update pertains to correct two different bugs on the operating system, details concerns VPN connections.
Microsoft explains that some Windows 10 Fall Creators Update probably are not able to check out VPN servers aided by the IKEv2 protocol, having an error blocking the anchor text from establishing and reading "Remote Access Error 809." KB4464217 should resolve this bug, so systems must try to connect to VPN once patching is complete.
"Just two known issues"
The moment bugfix concerns Microsoft Intune, with Microsoft explaining that KB4464217 addresses a glitch that was discovered in all of OS version updated between July 24, 2018 and September 11, 2018.
"Windows a lot more recognizes there's Information exchange (PFX) certificate that's useful authenticating to a Wi-Fi or VPN connection. For this reason, Microsoft Intune takes a long time to deliver user profiles while it doesn't recognize that the certificate is with the device," Microsoft says.
